UDINE A high quality performance under the banner of solidarity the 43rd edition of the International Dance Gala for the Red Cross/Udine Commettee, promoted by Associazione Danza e Balletto in Udine: Kosmos by Andonis Foniadakis, Suite per due pianoforti  by Uwe Sholz, Simply Us by Filipe Portugal, Les Bourgeois by Ben Van Cauwenbergh, 324a by Joshua Junker, Cicerenella by Brunella Sabatino and a creation for the gala signed by Massimo Gerardi, Three souls, are some of the novelties in the programme of this customary pro-Red Cross event, staged on the 8th December at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine at 8:30 pm.

A parade of artists performing pro bono for children in need supported by the Red Cross, a dance event that has entered the list of the most qualified events in Friuli Venezia Giulia as an opportunity to see stars and emerging talents, protagonists of unpublished pieces, re-arrangements or ad hoc creations, virtuoso pas de deux and solos of the ballet repertoire: Le Corsaire, Don Chisciotte, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutckracker, La Bayadère. 

Returning to the gala are the Russian Liudmila Konovalova, Wiener Staatsballett, and the moldavian Dinu Tamazlacaru, Staatsballett Berlin, performing Black Swan Grand pas de deux. Completing the cast of the 2024 edition are dancers from the Royal Ballet, Marco Masciari, from the Staatsballett Hannover, Giada Zanotti and Rosario Guerra, from Tanzcompagnie G.H. Theater Görlitz-Zittau, Sara Nicastro, Filippo Nannucci and Jun Wang, from the Académie de danse Princesse Grace Monaco, Utako Takeda and Hector Maxwell Jain, from the John Cranko Schule Stuttgart, Ryan Eiji Handa and Reito Nashiki, from the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, Junta Noda, from the Cannes Jeune Ballet Rosella Hightower, Lucrezia Panza and Afonso Nunes, and from FAND-Fondazione Accademia Nazionale di Danza Roma, Brunella Sabatino. The opening of the evening - dedicated to man's interference in nature - is coordinated by Nastja Bremec and Michal Rynia, directors of the MN Dance Company Slovenia, Roberto Cocconi, director of Arearea Company, Matteo Zamperin guest choreographer Il Balletto, Cinzia Pittia guest choreographer ADEB and Ballet School. Nicola Biasutti, teacher from the John Cranko Schule Stuttgart, is the artist to whom the Giuliana Penzi award for Dance will be awarded by Chiara Zoppolato (FAND). The event, a section of the project ADEB for Talents #dancegeneration, is in collaboration with the Municipality of Udine, Region FVG, Atomat and Danza&Danza.
