STOCCARDA After a short Christmas break, the Gauthier Dance JUNIORS were already back in the studio and the countdown is on to the premiere of their second stage programme Dream Team on January 23, 2025. There’s a lot of anticipation, not only among the dancers. After all, word of the young company’s excellence has spread. The five January shows of the new Theaterhaus audience favourites were thus sold out in no time at all. And the seven additional dates in March 2025 are also filling up rapidly.

The JUNIORS’ debut with RENAISSANCE last year proved that the high expectations are fully justified. In this respect, the title Dream Team does not only say it all, but is also a well-deserved seal of quality. One thing is clear in any case: The new bill really does require dream team skills. Otherwise, the physical and artistic challenges of four group pieces for all six dancers would be impossible to master. Fortunately, the JUNIORS also have a real dream team at their side – with choreographers Virginie Brunelle, Alejandro Cerrudo, Nacho Duato and Artist in Residence Barak Marshall. What’s more, the evening will also see a discussion of what creating for a group means: in the two parts of Podcast Vol. 1 & 2, host Eric Gauthier will take a deep dive into the subject of collaboration, both in conversation with the JUNIORS and the four choreographers.
