MILAN The Italian brand DellaLo' has recently presented the limited edition Étoile Collection, created with Olga Smirnova and inspired by the iconic roles of the étoile. Five items that offer every ballerina the opportunity to embody the spirit of a legend.
We met Lorella Ferraro, creator of DellaLo', and her staff who told us about this collaboration.
How did the collaboration with Olga Smirnova come about?
We chose to collaborate with Olga because of the mutual respect that binds us. Olga Smirnova has always appreciated the designs and manufacturing of DellaLo’ garments and the brand team has always had a deep admiration for her artistic skills and her nature as an extraordinary and affable person.
Designing these garments with her was fun and stimulating, and Olga put a great care and dedication in choosing fabrics and details of the leotards she had imagined.
Which are the unmissable pieces of the collection?
The collection includes five garments designed in close collaboration with Olga: Tatiana, Giselle, Carmen, Aurora and Diamonds which capture the essence of her performances right from the name, dancers worldwide the opportunity to embody the spirit of a legend. Being crafted with the highest quality materials and attention to each detail, these garments offer the ultimate combination of comfort and style, with the option to add snap buttons to the gusset area, to be able to wear them outside the dance studio.
Next February you will be at Danzainfiera. Can you give us a preview of what you will be presenting?
We are thrilled to announce that we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of DellaLo' during next Danzainfiera. We have lot of surprises for our customers and admirers. Come and visit us!
